Puff quilts or biscuit quilts are very special quilts and they’re very easy to make as I’ll demonstrate.
You can make different size biscuits, just adjust to your preference.
For the filling I used some polyester filling though you could use batting scraps either in cotton or wool.
This can be an upcycling project. Flannel shirts would be perfect for this project.

A really great way to upcycle! I particularly liked your edge finish with the backing fabric. I tried this finish on a bed coverlet project. The only difference in how I did it was to sew opposite sides rather than go around the whole perimeter. So I did the crosswise grain first on top & bottom and then the lengthwise grain edges on each side. The reason being the crosswise “stretch” a bit more while the lengthwise are more stable, helping to prevent any puckering when you come to finish the corners. I made one of these for my niece back in the seventies, I used my cotton summer dresses from previous years – It was when fabric shops were plentiful and lots of fun fabrics – I backed it with canvas that had nursery rhyme characters on it. When my niece out grow it, my sister used it to wrap around her hot water tank !!
