How to make a puff or biscuit quilt video tutorial – part 2

This is part 2 of my tutorial how to make a puff or biscuit quilt.  In today’s tutorial I’ll finish my cat’s puff bed now.

Just a small note: My quilt is small so I didn’t tie it. I’ve washed it and when I do it comes out fine.

For a larger quilt, it may be best to tie it every set of 4 puffs in a square if that makes sense.  This explains how to tie a quilt.

I think my cat Spécial likes it. Do you agree?

Did you miss part 1? Do you need to watch the tutorial again? Here it is:

My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.

How to make a puff or biscuit quilt video tutorial – part 1

Puff quilts or biscuit quilts are very special quilts and they’re very easy to make as I’ll demonstrate.

For this project I made a puff quilt as a cat’s bed and my cat loves it. I think he particularly loves it in summer because cotton is a lot cooler than his polyester store bought bed.

The tutorial is in 2 parts. Check it out!
