Improv Quilt-As-You-Go blocks with self-binding is a relaxed, practical way to make quilt blocks without overthinking measurements or layouts. In this tutorial, I show you how to build each block by adding fabric strips to a backing and batting, quilting as you go, and finishing the edges with self-binding along the way.
This method is ideal if you enjoy working intuitively, want to use up fabric scraps, or prefer to complete blocks one at a time without extra finishing steps. The result is a set of finished blocks that are ready to join, with no separate binding stage at the end.
