This is my truly first QAYG tutorial to assemble a quilt without sashing. And I’ve tested it with my latest quilt and it works great!
The video demonstrates block by block but you can do it strip by strip, half quilts, quarter quilts, you choose how big the pieces to assemble.

Teresa, I just watched your tutorial QAYG w/o sashing, thank you, it was very informative. Where did you get the wonderful fabric that you used in the quilt? It was so beautiful

I got to thank you so very much for your tutorial, I never even thought of quilting this way. It is so much easier to do and I don’t have to send it out to be quilted, a money saver for sure. FANTASTIC.

Teresa,
I have been looking for a quilt-as-you-go technique to use on my Mother’s Flower Garden quilt made of hexi’s. I want it to look authentic but didn’t want to quilt it by hand. I have a stitch on my machine that looks like hand stitching and wanted to use that. However, I’m making a queen quilt and it would be too large for me to handle. I think your method, without sashing would work. I’m just not looking forward to all the hand stitching on the batting and backing. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Linda, I’ve got the same problem as you with my hexies quilt but I don’t know how qayg would work with an hexies quilt. Too hard I think.
