Make the tablet stand using the leg of a pair of jeans
This tablet stand is even easier to make as some of the sewing is already done! Just cut the pants below the knee, close the tube, fill it with some stuffing and you’re basically done!
This is Amazing! You are so clever !!! I always enjoy your videos!
Thank you for sharing!!!

Thanks so much,, if I didn’t have my work area covered with a current project I would jump on this right now. Scraps now have a new purpose.

Thanks to your video this was a quick easy make. When I use this with my tablet in portrait position the tablet slides out of the groove. Do you know of a fix for this? I attached a button but it has not completely done the job.

Thank you for the tutorial. It’s so easy to follow! I do have a problem though, I am struggling to stitch the stand once it’s being stuffed. It seems that the auto threader on my machine gets in the way. Can I ask if there is a way round this?

Shan, You could stitch beforre filling it and then undo 2 or 3 inches on one seam and fill the wedge through it. Then close it wit a ladder stitch.

Thank you Teresa. I made one for my young granddaughter, and she uses it all the time, and kids being kids it has become dirty. But as its filled with rice it cant be washed, so I sat and pondered, how we could get round this?
So I roped my hubby in to see if he could help, and he purchased a piece of dowel (for the front piece) and some washable poly beads to empty into an inner pouch. meanwhile I bought some laminated fabric. I had read it was quite hard to sew with a normal foot, and to use a walking foot, and worked wonderfully easy, But then I had to hand stitch across/top row (against the cardboard ridge) as the ipad stand kept getting stuck on my automatic threader and the bed of my machine.
I forgot to add I wrapped the wood dowel and the cardboard base in some fusible fleece, (just to protect it from kiddies) I am as I type to you surrounded by more fabric, scissors, etc and just about to make some more stands as my granddaughters friends want one.
So thank you for sharing your pattern(s) and tutorial(s) for something so easy and oh so useful.
