This is a different take on a fun block I posted about. It’s such an easy block and it has so many possibilities, I had to go back to it and explore a bit more.
This technique was developed by Mary Ellen Hopkins in 1989 for her Hidden wells quilt.
How to make this block
Learn how to make this block in two minutes. You only need 4 fabric strips sewn together and sliced into half square triangles (HSTs).
After doing the tutorial you will obtain 8 half square triangles of in total, 4 of each colour:
Arrange the 8 HSTs to obtain the 2 blocks below:
