Block size: 10 1/2 inches
Colour scheme: reds, greens and neutrals
Texture/fabric manipulation: prairie points
Cut:
- one 6 1/4 in red square
- one 6 1/4 in pale green square
- four 3 in red squares
- eight 3 in cream squares
Making the prairie points
Take one cream square.
Fold it in half and press.
Fold it lightly and press the top corner with your finger.
Open and fold towards the mark as per photo and press.
Do the same with the other side.
Press well.
The prairie point is done.
Do the same for 3 more squares.
Now take the red and green 6 1/4 in squares and place them right side facing together.
Mark a diagonal line, pin and stitch on each side of the diagonal at 1/4 in from the line.
Cut through the diagonal line.
You will obtain two squares made out of 2 triangles. Press open.
Cut through the diagonal again as per picture below for both squares.
Rearrange to obtain 2 more squares as per picture below.
Now arrange block layout.
Stitch prairie points to cream squares.
Now stitch small squares in rows first.
Then all pieces together.
The block is done.

Each block is a 4-patch block in greens and reds. The fabric manipulation is made in a cream fabric.
