Some QAYG is done using sashing, some doesn’t use sashing. Some techniques involve hand sewing, others don’t.

I will miss your postings as I am a new quilter trying to find my way. QAYG had intimidated me but thanks to you I am going to have a go at it. I understand your frustrations with YouTube as they don’t have any idea of how popular you are and that being instructional videos often need many views to follow along. I will wait for you to hopefully return as this platform is the only social media I will follow. No FB for me.
