Granny square quilt block with jelly rolls video tutorial

The granny square is a traditional easy block that can be made coordinated or scrappy.

For this tutorial I’ve used 2 1/2″ fabric strips so it’s a block perfect for jelly rolls.

Would you like to make a full quilt with this block?

Lori Holt has a short book on it called Great Granny squared with instructions for two quilts, one tablerunner and one pillow.

  1. granny square video and that I still would get the 1/4 in left for sewing the blocks together. I have hundreds of 2 1/2 squares, so I will be pairing them up for scrappy blocks.Thank you.
