Two favourite mini blocks video tutorial

Saw tooth star and log cabin are two favourite blocks of many quilters. Many quilts have been made with both blocks.

My version is for 2 small 3″ x 3″ blocks.

I made all the blocks with foundation piecing. In such small sizes it’s a lot easier to get an accurate block that using traditional piecing.

This is how to make the blocks:

I normally use regular copy paper but in small sizes it can be a bit thick. You can use special paper for foundation piecing if you prefer.

These two blocks start as nine patch quilt blocks. The next step is also similar but the results couldn’t be any more different. Are you ready to learn?

Blocks can be made with traditional piecing or with foundation piecing.
