Broken wheel quilt block – video tutorial

Broken wheel is a 9-patch block with 4 square in a square units and 4 rail fence units placed around a central square.

It’s quite a simple block to make even for a beginner. This quilt would look great as a scrappy quilt.

My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.
