Printing the shapes

I recommend printing these shapes on thick card stock for better results.

Fabric collections

I used two beautiful Michael Miller collections:

My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.

  1. How would you use the half heart for the edge and not lose the points when adding a boarder or binding

  2. The half hearts won’t work in all instances of course. You’ll have to trim some hearts. The other option is to appliqué the piece to a border all around.
