These two blocks start with a half square triangle.

Quick and easy and always beautiful.

You can make them in coordinated fabric or scrappy.

My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.

  1. Teresa, I’m curious about you pressing all your seams open. I was taught to alwas press seams to one side, the darker side if possible. Does pressing seams open make the seam weaker? Best, Lisbeth

  2. I’m sorry you were disappointed. I hope you can still find a few interesting projects in the book.
