Thank you for this tutorial. Your fabric choices are beautiful and instructions are clear. I want to be sure of one thing, though: is it really 11.75″ finished or unfinished? I need to make this to be 12.5″ unfinished and I don’t want to miscalculate. Thanks for any help!

UPDATE: I just made some test blocks up, using your instructions, and the unfinished block is 12.5″, making the finished block 12″. I began with all 5″ squares per instructions and used 1/4″ seams. YAY!!!
