Love the video. I like to work this way, but then wonder how to pull these together in a quilt. I don’t want to use vast amounts of solids for all the rest.

I would decide the sort of shape I’d like to have, square rectangular etc the start making improv pieces until you get enough pieces to turn into a large quilt. Maybe you kind join the pieces with sashing in a highly contrasting colour.
