Stack, cut and swap quilting methods are incredibly versatile and leave plenty of room for creativity. Start with almost any simple quilt block—simple designs tend to work best. Stack two or more blocks (although you can also work on each block individually), then cut them into a grid or any pattern you like. Swap the pieces between the blocks and sew them back together. You can use two blocks, three blocks, or even more, depending on the effect you’re after.
