How to make another heart border

Let’s learn to add on the original heart border we did a few months ago. Look at how different it looks after adding 2 narrow strips of fabric.

Let’s learn.

Finished heart section

2 3/4″ x 4″.

Cutting directions

  • 5 strips, 1 1/2″ x width of fabric in white
  • 5 strips, 1 1/2″ x width of fabric in red
  • 2 strips, 1 1/2″ x width of fabric for the borders

My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.
