On point ribbon star quilt block – video tutorial

I’ve seen this block made in just 2 colours but I thought it’d look better in different shades of blue and a bright red in the centre.

This block is suitable for a beginner.

  • 4 strips, 2″ x 5″
  • 4 squares, 5″ x 5″

In the red fabric:

My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.
