This quilt along run in 2020 by Michael Miller fabrics while I was one of their brand Ambassadors.
It’s such a beautiful striking quilt that I wanted to revisit it because many of you probably missed out then.

The pattern was designed by Michael Miller and can be downloaded for free.
You can download the cutting directions for rotary cutting cutting and also for AccuQuilt Go! Fabric Cutter and 8″ Qube.
For these blocks you’ll see my pieces cut very neatly.
I used AccuQuilt to cut them.
Batiks are by Michael Miller. View the fabrics list. Some batiks may or not be available as this quilt is from 2020.
Let’s get to it and make block 1 and 2.

My book Turnabout Patchwork
“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.
Buy individual chapters of my book
Now that my publisher is going out of business I have bought the rights to publish my book. Now you can download individual chapters. Each digital download is a bundle with 4 quilt patterns in it.
As well as the instructions and fabric needs to make the blocks you’ll find a section on quiltmaking basics at the end of the pattern that discusses:
- Tools
- Squaring up blocks
- Borders
- Assembly and quilting
- Binding

Good Morning Teresa, What a treat to wake up to this morning.💖 The way each middle block is different but set inside the same border block is very cool. Time to go search through my batiks and get them together. Thank You for sharing the pattern. This is going to be fun! Thank You again!
