Scrappy star and pinwheel quilt blocks video tutorial

Today we’re going to have fun with these two scrappy blocks: a star block and a pinwheel block.

Both can be made with fabric scraps.

My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.

  1. Hi Teresa, I can’t seem to get this video tutorial to work. Not sure if it is me or the link. I really love the scrappy star!!! Thanks for your generosity in sharing all of these videos. Laura

  2. Thanks for fixing the link. Love the star and would like to make it larger, even though 12” is a generous size. How would I go about doing that. Say I start with four charm squares since I have piles of them. Plus , I am a lazy quilter so I like to make things supersized. Stay safe. We have a huge problem here in the US so all we can do is stay home and keep busy. Laura
