Hexagons are some of my favourite blocks. They’re quick and easy, they can be made with fabric scraps.

My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.

See all the quilts in the book in a real life project

  1. I see how easy it is to make the blocks but how do you sew the blocks together? Is it like one block wonder where you sew half of each block and then put them together in rows?

  2. I would like to see how several rows attach to each other (top and bottom of hexagon). How they are sewn as a quilt top?
