quilting

Holland quilt pattern

This quilt can be made with traditional piecing or with foundation piecing. Both templates are available.

Foundation piecing puts some people off. I always recommend to watch and follow my tutorials without over analysing.

Foundation piecing wastes a bit more fabric than regular piecing, 10% to 25% more, but with practice you can waste less and less.

If you start with this technique though you should cut your pieces large enough so they’re not short at the end and you don’t get frustrated.

This video demonstrates how to make the blocks with foundation piecing.
