This is a good block for beginners. It’s also very suitable for precuts, for instance charm squares.

Theresa, there’s an easier way to do the 9 patch. Use strips. Sew three strips together. Pattern, white, pattern. (For outer sides) For the middle strip sew white, pattern, white. Iron. Then lay out the three sewn strips sideways on table. cut them the width you need. Sew together for 9 patch. That way you arent using little squares to make your 9 patch. So much easier. I hope this helps.

You will have three, three strip sets. Sub cut these to the width you need. Then sew these sections together to make your 9 patch. Missouri star quilt co. Has videos on it in the community section or go to YouTube. That way you can use these techniques to show us variations like you do at the end of your videos. I love that. No one else shows all the variations you can do. I hope this helps. I really live your quick tutorials. Everyone else does a lot of talking and sewing and it takes forever to watch one.
