A while ago I made a block with strips of fabric sewn together and then I turned them into 4 half square triangles (HSTs).
Based on the same principle, this block uses striped fabric instead of pieced strips of fabric. The result is great.

Shells quilt pattern
Shells is one of 23 quilt patterns in my book “Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist“. The book is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.
