I absolutely love this site and Teresa! Does anyone know what size finished block you get if you start with 10″ blocks, or 12″ blocks? There is probably a math formula to figure this out, but I don’t know what it is.

Jennie, you can work it out roughly. The starting squares are cut into half so starting with 10″ your half square triangles will be about 5″ and your 12″ will be about 6″. It’s advisable to trim your hst so I would say that the end hst will be closer to 4 3/4″ and 11 3/4. Then you can do the math when you add all the 16 hst together.
