How to make a Tilted nine patch quilt block

Tilted nine patch quilt block

The Tilted Nine Patch takes one of quilting’s most familiar blocks and gives it a twist — literally.

Start with a traditional Nine Patch, then slice it at a calculated angle. The result is a block that appears to be skewed, off-kilter, and full of movement.

This version uses a bold print paired with a crisp background for maximum contrast, so the “tilt” really pops.
