Printing fabric on demand with Haerae

I’ve got something exciting to share — a new collaboration with a print-on-demand textile company in Korea, Haerae Textile, and it’s been such a great experience from start to finish.

They offered to print four yards of quilting cotton in a design of my choice, so I asked my daughter, Amber Cutts Mairal, who’s an artist, to create the artwork. She came up with a beautiful design, and seeing it translated into fabric has been a real joy.

The fabric itself is first-class quality. It’s digitally printed on organic cotton, and the print clarity and colour are excellent — crisp, clean, and exactly as the artwork intended. The hand of the fabric is lovely too, which matters just as much as how it looks when it comes to quilting.

What really surprised me is how reasonable the pricing is, especially for custom, small-batch (50 yds) printing on organic cotton (they also print smaller batches but you’ll need to get a quote for that). That combination of quality, sustainability, and affordability is hard to find, and I’m genuinely impressed.

I’ve also filmed an unboxing video where I open the package and show the fabrics up close, so you can see the quality for yourself. If you’re curious about custom fabric printing — or just love seeing beautiful fabric fresh out of the box — you’ll want to watch it.

This collaboration has been such a positive experience, and I’m excited to see what projects this fabric becomes part of next.
