I spotted a cool mosaic on a wall when I was at an art gallery that inspired me to make this block.
The super detailed patterns and the contrast between the black and white tiles really grabbed my attention.
Being a fan of quilting, I couldn’t help but picture how the design would look as a modern quilt.
The geometric shapes and the interplay of light and shadow in the mosaic could be beautifully recreated using different fabric textures and patterns.
It’s so fun to think about all the creative possibilities and how the quilt could really capture the essence of the original mosaic.
So here it is.
Fabric recommendations
A black and white fat quarter bundle like this one would be great to make a quilt with this block.
Alternatively you can get fat quarter black and white bundles from other fabric manufacturers.

your work is beautiful! Do you sell the little bag with the cockatiel on it? Or the fabric? I have cockatiels and would love to get the bag or fabric. Thank you

Hi Shirley, the bag was a gift I received from a friend. It’s very cute isn’t it?You may be able to find the bag by using Google lense in that photo.
