These 2 techniques are for quilt-as-you-go without sashing. After using both I can’t really choose my favourite. Both work great.
How to QAYG without sashing: 2 techniques
Would you like to try these techniques with some beautiful projects?
I received a copy of Quilt-as-you-go made modern by Jera Brandvig.
While I have tried some of the QAYG techniques before – see video below – the book is very thorough and detailed. Jera not only describes the technique but she also offers alternatives to the basic block by block quilting.
The book also has lots of diagrams that make it particularly easy to follow the patterns.
To top it all up you get to try the techniques in 13 different projects.
My book Turnabout Patchwork
“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.See all the quilts in the book in a real life project

I started out years and years ago by watching public broadcasting station. Only on Sunday. Lol
Befor computers and YouTube. You are a breath of spring air to my quilting soul.
Thank you for your broadcasts. I haven’t found a one I didn’t like.
