Cables are very popular in knitting. There’re so many cable types from the very straight forward to the very intricate.

In knitting speak, to make the piece in the video:
- Cast on 21 stitches
- Row 1: p3, k6, p3, k6, p3
- Row 2: k3, p6, k3, p6, k3.
- Alternate 1 and 2 for 4 or 6 rows and on the next row do the cable twists.
