This is a basic disappearing nine patch quilt block.
You can make this block with pre-cut 5″ squares, also called charm squares, to make the block more quickly.
How to make a disappearing nine patch block
If you like disappearing blocks check out my book Turnabout patchwork. It’s a book about slicing and turning blocks.
My book Turnabout Patchwork
“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.See all the quilts in the book in a real life project

I love the fabrics you displayed for the disappearing 9-patch. Can you tell me where you got the fabric from? Thank you for all the information you have included in your blog.

Hi, the pink coat hangers fabric is from Art gallery fabrics and the other one is an old Michael Miller collection.
