Time to make a fun block. This is a take on the traditional wedding ring block. I made it in an improv fashion using the paper ring as a stabiliser.
Use a combination of strips and triangles as you go around the ring. Then sew the circular pieces to the ring. I tried using fewer pins around the curves for one of the pieces and it was ok, so lots of pins aren’t necessary though it feels safer.

When your sewing the top curve piece it looks like there are some folds, but when you show the finished product, it’s all flat. how do you do that?

It’s natural to have some folds but the trick is not to *sew* over the folds. Go slowly and remove any potential folds along the stitching line.
