Hi there, I’m doing a patchwork Rainbow Quilt for my daughter, they will be 6 inch squares, so can I sew them in strips like you did then cut side ways. The edges are making me off. I need a 60×72 and was wondering if I cut them the same way. The pattern I have the squares are turn to look like triangles. I hope this make sense. Thanks Betty

Hi Betty
It depends on the look you want to achieve. You can also do something like this with strips: https://teresadownunder.com/2016/11/13/video-tutorial-quick-and-easy-bargello-quilt-block/

Thank you that helped me a lot. I will be using bigger squares but I get what they are doing. I am doing a rainbow quilt that my daughter found on pinterest and the way it is described was hard to figure out. And I knew there was a way to sew strips together and then make them match row after row. Now I have to figure out how many strips I need to cut. It will be a 60×72. I thought that was the best with the 6 inch squares. Thank you Betty
