Susan Gatewood’s paper foundation . All patterns are free though Susan says “I only ask that you consider making a donation to the Bennington Museum, in Bennington, Vermont. And if you do, it would make me tremendously happy if you would tell them that you have received help from me.” I totally recommend Susan’s patterns as they are very easy to use.

Wow Teresa, You make all the quilts you show on your blog look so easy to do! This of course is another gorgeous one. Seems like the smaller the pieces the more I like them. Teresa, I’m up to A-10 on the DJ blocks. Did you possibly consider putting the four odd shaped pieces on first without the cones and then fitting the cones in? I’m just wondering if that would work. Hmmm

Do you mean appliqué the cones? You certainly can try that.

Not Applique. But sewing the centers of the long sides then stitching the cones from one tip, around the curve and up the other side of the cone and then clipping the curve.
