11 Fat quarters (9 for the Irish chain, one for the top border and one for the inside sleeve).
Matching ribbon
Cut 9 2 inch strips one out of each fat quarter and stitch together.
Stitch both ends together to make a tube.
Cut 4 strips across at 2 inch intervals and stitch to make an Irish chain.
Stitch together on the sides to make a sleeve.
Cut a rectangle 6.5i inch x 5 inch and stitch to the top of the Irish chain. Fold in half, iron and top stitch. Turn inside out.
Cut a rectangle 6.5 inch x 15.5 inch and stitch around 2 sides to make the inside of the sleeve.
Insert in the outer sleeve and fold the hem inside to match both inside and outside edges. Stitch sleeves together using a decorative stitch.
Stitch in ribbon on one side.
