The Disappearing Fancy Nine Patch creates a quilt full of movement and rhythm. By swapping the four corner squares of the base nine patch for two hourglass blocks and two four-patch blocks on opposite corners, each block develops strong diagonal lines and a subtle woven effect. When repeated, those diagonals link from block to block, forming a continuous pattern that looks more complex than it is. It’s a great choice if you want a dynamic layout without adding extra steps.
