The Hunter’s Star is a classic favourite. You can make it in many ways, and each method gives a slightly different look.
In my book Turnabout Patchwork, I show you how to make this block using a fun technique that plays with bias seams. It works well, but now I want to share another approach you might enjoy.
Today’s method uses only squares and half-square triangles. It has a similar feel to the technique in Turnabout Patchwork, but you won’t be dealing with as many bias seams. It’s simple, neat, and a good choice if you’re after a clean finish.
If you like this block, you can use the patterns in Turnabout Patchwork to sew a full quilt.
