June 2025 – Patreon tier 3 free pattern: Summer lunch placemats

Summer lunch placemats

Summer lunch placemats was a pattern originally designed for my book Turnabout Patchwork, but in the end it didn’t make the final cut—so now I’m sharing it with you here.

The colour scheme was inspired by watermelon, the ocean, and the bright summer sun. But this pattern is flexible—swap the colours for oranges, purples and blacks, and you’ll have the perfect placemats for your next Halloween gathering.

It’s a great project to showcase your favourite fabrics. Food-themed or kitchen prints work beautifully, but anything bright and cheerful will shine. These placemats are quick to make and ideal for gifting too.

Skill level: Beginner friendly

Finished placemat size: 12” x 17”

Finished block size: 3” x 3”
