How to make an improv square in a square block

This time, we’re creating a square-in-a-square scrappy quilt block.

Essentially, it’s a square with strips sewn around it.

I’m using starting squares and strips that are all the same size. However, if you want to get creative, you can use squares and strips of varying sizes.
