Making a special Poppy brooch for Remembrance Day: easy crafting tutorial

Quilted poppy brooch tutorial

Quilting is a way to create something beautiful while remembering important things.

With Remembrance Day around the corner, I have a special craft for you. My new quilting video tutorial will show you how to make a small poppy brooch using foundation paper piecing.

This brooch, measuring just 2″ x 2″, isn’t just a decoration – it’s a meaningful symbol you can wear on Remembrance Day to show your respect. Let’s join together as we make this brooch using fabric and simple steps.

Another poppy project

Poppy 12″ block

But if you’re inclined to make something bigger, what about this 12″ poppy block?

You can use the left over half square triangles on the back of the quilt.  You can sew them into 9 patch or 16 patch quilt blocks. Plenty of layouts to choose from.
