Arabic lattice is a pattern you can see all over Morocco. I’ve seen it done often just with squares and triangles mostly. But for this version I’m using a strip instead of two squares.
If you pay close attention you’ll see that the negative design is the same as the main design.
Wild goose chase is a classic and it dates back to the early colonial days according to Nancy Cabot.

Cutting instructions
- 2 squares, 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ in white
- 2 strips, 2″ x 5″ in white
- 2 strips, 2″ x 3 1/2″ in white
- 4 squares, 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″ in white
- 2 squares, 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ in blue
- 2 strips, 2″ x 5″ in blue
- 2 strips, 2″ x 3 1/2″ in blue
- 4 squares, 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″ in blue
Finished size
9″ x 9″.

- 1 square, 3 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ in a floral yellow print
- 8 squares, 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ in dark pink
- 8 squares, 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ in the floral yelllw print
- 2 squares, 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ in the yellow floral print
Finished size
12″ x 12″.
