I’ve been trying to create a quilt with machine appliqued squares. Not sure how to join the squares together if I applique through the batting and backing. Seems so complicated. There has to be an easier way.

I would love to see some blocks using Australian images, say koalas, other animals flora, and old huts. these could be made into minis perhaps used as key holders or wall hangings.

I was going to say Storm at sea, I see others have commented that as well. But I think you may have already done that. What about a BOM that we could complete a quilt using different blocks you demonstrate?

Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of 2021’s possibilities. Teresa, I love watching your videos and save most of them for inspiration. There is 1 block I just can’t get right. My daughter wanted a double wedding ring quilt and I told her, “good luck with that. You just picked the hardest quilt.” And I did try a sample and failed so she’s getting something else. I have watched other video’s but they basically show cutting, layout and placement but never that pretty part that goes around the melon. Just a thought. I enjoy the no chitter chatter way you do your videos. They are clear to understand, quick and helpful for inspiration.

I also would like to see more on the Wedding ring blocks. But I would love for instruction on blocks like the Conversion quilts if possible, a simple method(?). Also some videos on borders, like ideas for pieced borders.

I often struggle with cutting fabric and then having an “elbow” in the middle. I would like to see how to make bias cuts – watched videos and just cannot “get it”. How to make places where all the seams meet up less bulky. How to convert a pattern into different size. Does that mean I need to make the blocks bigger or just add more blocks – if I add more blocks what to do when that makes the pattern not balanced as in original smaller size. UGH

how can I avoid getting “elbows” in fabric when I cut strips ?? sewing where all the seams meet causes bulkiness – how can I get away from that ?? How do you change a small pattern into a larger sized piece?? add more blocks or increase size of each block ?? then it alters the layout and what to do about that ???

It may be a no-brainer to more experienced quilters, but I’d like to be able to make a quilt with Log Cabin blocks. It’s a simple thing, but I’ve never made one. My problem is knowing when to add which strip. Thanks!

Hi Teresa,
I have lots of orphan blocks left over from the many quilts I have made over the years. I would like it if you could show some appealing ways to put them in a quilt. You are very good at setting the blocks in lots of different ways. The blocks are from 3-16 inches in size and are squares and rectangular in shape. They also span a very wide range of colors.
Also a row by row quilt might be lots of fun to do.
