Irish chain is a traditional pattern. But is it really Irish? Apparently it developed in America in the 1800s. Either way this a quilting pattern you should learn.
How to make a single Irish chain quilt
My book Turnabout Patchwork
“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.See all the quilts in the book in a real life project

Hello:
Is there any way you can send me the instructions for the Simple Irish Chain Block quilt in a PDF? I do much better reading the instructions than trying to follow it on a video tutorial.
Thank you. Norma Fitchette nfitchette@rcn.com
