This is another twist on a disappearing 9-patch block variation I made sometime ago. This is a quick and easy block which is suitable for beginners. It’s also a perfect block to make with charm squares.

Block size
12 inches.
Materials
For 2 simple 9-patch blocks:
- 5 squares, 5″ x 5″ in one print
- 5 squares, 5″ x 5″ in a matching print
- 8 squares, 5″ x 5″ in the background fabric
Tip: Choose a different colour scheme for each block. For instance red and green, yellow and purple, orange and blue, black and red.
