Jane A. Stickle Quilt row B: JAS-B04 – Chris’s Soccer Field

First impressions are often wrong they say. This is the fourth block in row B, the row from hell I thought when I first had a look at it. But so far the blocks have been very straightforward.

This block is easy. I’m very happy with the result. I think I know why. It’s the pressing each piece as I stitch them together. I usually don’t press each piece, I turn it over and press it with my finger. But on this occasion, because of the tiny strips, I thought it would help if I pressed each piece. Then I remembered that I did the same thing with block A09 for the same reason and it also turned out very well.

I think I’ll keep pressing each piece from now on.
